Adele is returning to the stage for the first time since becoming a mom, to sing her James Bond theme song "Skyfall" at the upcoming Academy Awards.
Bing: Adele wins Golden Globe for 'Skyfall'
The singer, who gave birth to a son in October, is nominated in the Best Original Song category for "Skyfall," and she will be at the Los Angeles ceremony in person to perform it on February 24.
Adele, who won a Golden Globe for the song earlier this month, says, "It's an honor to be nominated and terrifyingly wonderful to be singing in front of people who have captured my imagination over and over again. It's something I've never experienced and probably only ever will once!"
Said show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron: "We have enormous respect for Adele's unique artistry as a songwriter and a singer. She is currently one of the most successful recording artists in the world, and we believe that her performance of 'Skyfall' will be an exciting Oscar moment for audiences watching at the Dolby Theatre and on television screens around the world."
The Oscars are also set to feature a tribute to the Bond movie franchise in recognition of its 50th anniversary.
